With over 25 years of business experience, Ken is responsible for the company’s growth. He oversees the firm's Business Development, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships and all Internet/Website activities. Prior to joining Foreign Translations, Inc., as CEO, Ken was the President of New VentureZ Business Solutions, Inc., a Management Consulting firm specializing in the preparation of Business, Strategic, Capital and Marketing Plans for emerging and expanding companies.

Ken has helped launch over a dozen companies in such industries as Technology, Internet, E-Commerce, Telecommunications, Health Care, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Financial Services, Entertainment and other service-related companies. He has extensive experience in financial modeling and in raising venture capital. Prior to forming New VentureZ Business Solutions, Inc., Ken was the Manager of Finance at Ryder System, Inc., Controller for a national architecture, engineering and construction firm, Analyst for a publishing firm and an Accountant for Goldman Sachs, a Wall Street Investment Bank.

Ken has an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York in Finance and Economics and an MBA from Nova’s Graduate School of Business.

Ms. Paltrow has been the President of Foreign Translations, Inc., since its inception in 1998. She is responsible for client relations and shares in the tasks of project management and business development. She has been a professional linguist for over 20 years and boasts of a very diverse and exciting career in the field. With Italian interpreting and translation assignments ranging from national and international government projects in both the legal and scientific arenas, to industrial manuals and engineering training, all the way to tour guiding in the US and across Europe, she is sought out by clients across the globe. She was the key interpreter and translator for the U.S. Marine Corps in the multiple court martial trials of the pilot and navigator responsible for killing 20 people in the Italian Alps in 1998. She is regularly hired to interpret for depositions and trials in lengthy multi-million dollar lawsuits and is recognized by Federal and State Courts. Her reputation for excellence has brought her large translation projects including important pharmaceutical trial documents, intergovernmental agreements and highly technical manuals.

Her background in languages began as an infant born to American parents in France and later developed while she completed her Bachelor studies at Temple University in Rome, Italy. After four years working in Milan for a group of international businesses, Tamar received a full scholarship for her Masters Degree at the prestigious Middlebury College Language Schools in Middlebury, Vermont. Middlebury is world renowned for maintaining a strict use of the language of study, thereby forcing students to fully utilize and develop their language skills. At Middlebury, Tamar was awarded the Cecchetti Award for Academic Excellence.

As President of Foreign Translations, Inc., Tamar brings to the company an in-depth knowledge of document translation, international experience and professionalism.

Born in California and raised in Florida, Charles graduated in 2000 from the University of West Florida, where he studied English and Philosophy. After graduation, he joined the US Army and attended the prestigious Defense Language Institute/Foreign Language Center at the Presidio of Monterey in California. He spent two years at DLI undergoing intensive study of Modern Standard Arabic and graduated from the Institute in 2002.

While in service, Charles received multiple acclaims – most notably for his service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He completed his tour of duty at Fort Bragg, NC in 2006.

As a member of Foreign Translations, Inc., Charles coordinates contractor relationships between company headquarters and translators across the globe. He is also responsible for coordinating and advising senior leadership regarding its General Services Administration Schedule (GSA). As an Arabic linguist, he works closely with Foreign Translations' Project Managers to ensure translation accuracy and effectiveness.

Charles is a native English speaker and is fluent in Arabic. Charles joined Foreign Translations, Inc., in April 2007. He resides in Greenville and works at the company’s corporate headquarters in Greenville, SC.

Raised in the Upstate of South Carolina, Janet was introduced to the world by globally minded parents from Colombia, South America. Traveling to Colombia throughout her childhood allowed Janet to build her appreciation for diverse customs and cultures as well as her own international identity. 

After obtaining her degree in International Business from the College of Charleston, she developed her global business skills at the South Carolina World Trade Center. Working in the Trade Department, Janet guided and supported hundreds of companies across the region and around the world in the growth and development of their companies through business matchmaking, customized data and research, and import and export training.

In July of 2008, Janet joined Foreign Translations, Inc. as the Manager of Client Relations. Janet’s responsibilities include building business relationships with clients and prospective clients, creating proposals at the request of clients, cultivating local and national marketing efforts, and overall business development.
 

Born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Glendaliz majored in Foreign Languages, French and Italian, at the University of Puerto Rico. During her time at the University, Glendaliz spent a year in Angers, France at the Université d’Angers as an exchange student learning French and experiencing French culture. While studying abroad, she took translation courses from French into English and Spanish, and from Spanish and English into French. 

After graduating in 2006 from the University of Puerto Rico, Glendaliz continued her studies and earned a Master’s degree in French Translation from the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Kent State University in Ohio. At Kent State, Glendaliz also taught Elementary Spanish courses as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Modern and Classical Language Studies.

As a Project Coordinator with Foreign Translations Inc., Glendaliz’s responsibilities include coordinating translation production in all languages, selecting translators, assigning projects to translators, quality control, project delivery and client satisfaction.

A native of Atlanta, Anna studied Spanish and Philosophy at Furman University in Greenville, SC. During her time at Furman, Anna spent a semester each in Madrid, Spain, and Santiago, Chile, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for the diversity of cultures and dialects in the Spanish-speaking world. After graduating in 2005, Anna continued her studies and earned a Master’s degree in Hispanic Linguistics from Indiana University. While there she taught as an Associate Instructor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. Anna’s courses in Latin and historical grammar have also helped her gain a detailed knowledge of the structure and development of the major Romance languages.

As a Project Coordinator with Foreign Translations, Inc., Anna’s responsibilities include coordinating translation production in all languages, translator selection, assignment of projects to translators, quality control, project delivery, client satisfaction, and billing. Anna is fluent in Spanish, has a reading knowledge of French and Italian, and is currently learning Portuguese. Anna joined Foreign Translations in October 2007 and works at the corporate headquarters in Greenville, SC.
